The controvery here is that several years ago when the senate and the house was full of republicans massuhchusits passed a law that the governor couldn’t select an interim senator, this was due to fears of the democratic party. now with democrates running the senate and the house and that whole health care reform debate the liberals want to change the law so that another democratic senator can be elected. of course this is all speculation, not by me but by all the news medias up here (although i agree).
